Day 1: Lima

Touch down in Peru’s capital today and spend the day exploring at leisure.

Day 2: Lima

After breakfast, enjoy a guided city tour, with visits to the Historic Centre and the Santo Domingo Convent. Continue to the lively Plaza de Armas to admire the exquisite surrounding architecture, then pay a visit to the Chocolate Museum to learn about the high-quality of Peruvian cocoa. On the way back to your hotel, swing by the Parque del Amor for panoramic Pacific Ocean views. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 3: Lima – Paracas

After breakfast, enjoy a scenic bus journey along the coast to Paracas; a small port town boasting beautiful beaches. Check-in to your hotel then opt to explore. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 4: Paracas – Nazca

Take a boat tour to the Ballestas Islands, famous for their seabirds, seals and Humboldt penguins. Spot the famous Paracas Candelabra, a prehistoric geoglyph dated to 200 BCE, then hop aboard a bus to Nazca, home of the intriguing Nazca Lines, a group of pre-Columbian geoglyphs etched into the desert sands. Day 5: Nazca – Arequipa


Opt to enjoy a flight this morning over the famed Nazca Lines, then catch a bus to Arequipa, a resplendent city framed by three mighty volcanoes. It’s Peru’s second largest city and plays host to various historic buildings and religious monuments. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 6: Arequipa


Today, you have the opportunity to take an optional city tour of Arequipa, including the Plaza de Armas, the Monastery of St. Catherine and the Basilica Cathedral of Arequipa. Alternatively, spend the day at leisure. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 7: Arequipa – Colca

Travel to the Colca Canyon, an ancient area that boasts sweeping valleys and is home to the endangered giant Andean Condor. Along the way, pass through the town of Yura, the spectacular landscapes of Aguada Blanca before a stop in Patapampa. (Meals: breakfast, dinner)

Day 8: Colca – Puno


Head into the valley for a remarkable visit to the Cruz del Condor, the best viewpoint for watching the iconic condors take flight, before continuing to Puno, the gateway to Lake Titicaca. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 9: Puno


Enjoy a day at leisure and opt to take a boat trip out to the floating Uros Islands and Taquile Island, which dates back to pre-Inca times. The island itself is famed for its colourful knitted clothing. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 10: Puno – Cuzco


Catch a bus to Cuzco, the archeological capital of the Americas and the ancient capital of the Inca empire. Along the way, visit Andahuaylas, a beautiful 17th-century church, and the ruins of Racqui. Upon arrival, check-in to your hotel. (Meals: breakfast, lunch)

Day 11: Cuzco

Spend your day at leisure, exploring the lively plazas of the historic city, as well as the bars and restaurants scattered throughout. Opt for a guided city tour and swing by the Koricancha Temple, an impressive ancient Inca palace built in honour of the Sun God. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 12: Cuzco – Sacred Valley


Embark on an exciting full-day Sacred Valley Excursion, including the idyllic Mirador de Racchi, Moray and Ollantaytambo, the most impressive architectural complex of the ancient Inca Empire. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 13: Sacred Valley – Machu Picchu – Cuzco

Today, you’ll get the chance to explore the iconic wonder of Machu Picchu, one of the ‘New Seven Wonders of the Modern World’. Spend some time discovering the ruins and enjoy a tour of the different sections of the site, then return by train back to Cuzco. (Meals: breakfast)

Day 14: Cuzco – Night on board - UK

Head to the airport today and hop aboard a flight back to Lima, then transfer to your flight back to the UK. (Meals: breakfast)
