A stunning self-drive trip through the state of New York, from Buffalo to NYC itself - including a Niagara Falls boat tour, seven days of car hire, and flights

Discover the delights of the state of New York with this epic trip that sees you self-drive from west to east. Starting out in Buffalo, you'll head to the thundering waters of Niagara Falls with a fantastic Maid of the Mist boat tour that'll get you as close to the spray as possible. After this thrilling adventure, you'll drive on to Syracuse, where you'll stay on the Historic Armory Square, leaving you within easy reach of the city's entertainment and cultural highlights.

You'll drive on to Rochester next, which sits prettily on Lake Ontario. Take some time to explore the city's 12,000 acres of parkland, more than 100 wineries, breweries and distilleries, and its fascinating museums. Then, you'll drive on to Rhinebeck, which is nestled in New York's scenic Hudson Valley. Here, you'll stay at the undeniably charming Beekman Arms & Delamater Inn - having opened in 1766, it's America's oldest inn.

Next up is New York City, an impossibly glamorous and exciting destination. You'll check into your stylish boutique, The Paul NYC, before seizing the chance to check out famous stores like Bloomingdales, watch a baseball game, see a Broadway show or pay your respects to the Statue of Liberty. For the ultimate experience, book yourself in for a Top of The Rock visit, which could see you taking in some seriously spectacular cityscapes as you ascend to the highest floor of the iconic Rockefeller Centre.
